Welcome to the Bike Hiker E-Mail List (E-Group) information page. The Bike Hikers maintain this Yahoo e-mail list group so members can easily communicate with the group at large. Use the E-Group to post relevant information pertaining to the club and the local cycling community. Always be civil and polite and no person to person posting, please.
The E-Group is a good place to find out all the latest news and happenings. If you have club related questions, the e-Group is an excellent resource. So check it out and sign-up today. It's free!
(Note: the Bike Hikers also maintain a less formal group, the Bike Hikers Forum (BHforum) mailing list. See the BHforum at the bottom of this page for more information.)
E-Group Rules
To keep the E-Group enjoyable and useful we have a few rules for everyone to follow. Please read the rules before posting any messages.
E-Group Rules
In addition to the E-Group rules, review the legal notice regarding the general use of either the Bike Hikers' mailing list groups.

The Bike Hikers Forum
The Bike Hikers Forum (BHforum) has a more open structure than the E-Group. Use the BHforum for extended discussions of topics and issues relating to the club and the cycling community. This group is unmoderated. Please be on your best behavior and avoid un-civil comments. Please note: the same rules apply to the BHforum that apply to the E-Group just in a non-proactive way.

BOUNCING
If something happens to your email account, messages will be bounced back to the list. When this happens, Yahoo-groups will send you a warning message, if the warning message itself bounces you will be placed on bouncing status.
If you suddenly stop receiving the Bike Hikers emails, and have fixed the problem, please send a note to the moderator and ask to be reset. This may take a few hours to take effect. If you have been unsubscribed, you will have to sign up again. "Bouncing" is usually caused by letting your email box fill up while on vacation. Second most common cause is changing your email address. If you do this you will have to re-subscribe . Remember, from the Yahoo control page you can change where your list mail goes.
