Description:
We will be meeting in Corte Madera on Friday morning. Friday’s ride will go through Mill Valley and Sausalito over the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco, and along the bay to the Fisherman’s Wharf area. From there, you’re free to do as much or little exploring as you like on your own. Round trip distance from Corte Madera to the wharf and back is 31 miles.

Saturday we will ride along the bay on Paradise Drive to Tiburon where we will take a ferry to Angel Island (round trip cost - $12.95) and ride the 7 mile perimeter road. Tiburon offers many quaint bakeries, coffee shops etc. for stopping off before or after (or both) the trip to Angel Island. We’ll return along the scenic Tiburon Bay Trail. Approximate riding distance is 25 miles. (Other options from Tiburon will be available as well for those who may want to skip Angel Island.) Sunday we’ll do a short scenic ride through San Rafael and along San Pablo Bay to China Camp State Park and back before checking out of the hotel.


Lodging:
We will be staying at the Marin Suites Hotel in Corte Madera. The room rate is an absolute Bay Area bargain at $94 per night. You can find specific information about the spacious newly remodeled hotel on their website at www.marinsuites.com. To reserve a room, call 1-800-362-3372, and let them know you’re with the Sacramento Bike Hikers. You’ll find the hotel very clean and comfortable and the location very convenient. The hotel provides free cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, juice, coffee, etc. for breakfast each morning. There are also numerous stores and restaurants within very easy walking distance. There is a pool and a courtyard at the hotel, and there will be snacks and beverages provided to all tour participants following Friday’s ride.


Cost:
