Be part of the 2nd annual year of firsts! Last year the Ride Committee developed this popular program, challenged members to set a bicycling-related goal that would be a stretch for them, and to achieve the goal by December 31st.
When: The whole year!!!

ANNUAL PICNIC RIDE

Meet at Five Points Shopping Center (see Ride Start List) to burn a few calories prior to enjoying the annual club picnic. Good day to wear your club jersey! Return to William Pond recreation area for the barbecue/picnic feast and festivities, which start at 11:30AM.

Volunteer Opportunity EPPIE’S GREAT RACE – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Time again for the Bike Hiker tradition of supporting Eppie’s Great Race at the Bike-to-Boat transition point! Only a few hours of your time are needed to help the contestants with their bikes. Morning munchies are provided and Eppie’s offers free lunch tickets. We don’t have an official club ride today, but members who ride to/from and help at the event will receive animal miles. Sign in for animal miles with Alan or Rick. We need lots of volunteers as the Race has continued to grow!

THE ANNUAL “KILL BILL” RIDE
9:00 AM ......................................... Grade: A75
Come join me for one of my “Rollers” rides. Trust me, really! This is the ride where I earned my “Kill Bill” title. This is a spectacular ride from Georgetown to Loon Lake and back on Wentworth Springs Road with an awesome view of Desolation Wilderness, and approx. 7,500 ft of climbing with a long, fast descent on the return. There are no services available so I will have SAG support again to carry your food and drinks. We will lunch at the lake’s edge. Meet on Main St in Georgetown. Allow approximately one hour drive time from E. Sac area (call for specific directions).

MUSTARD SEED SPIN – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
11:00 AM ...................... Grade: E16+
Meet at Five Points Shopping Center (see Ride Start List for directions). Riders will check helmets and bikes at the start of the ride and then accompany children as they ride the American River Bike Trail. Rest stop and post ride food will be provided for all helpers. We need lots of help to accomplish this great charity. Wear your club jersey and come out and join the fun!

Annual Awards Banquet
The Annual Awards Banquet is one of the best attended events of the year. Every member who cycled 500 or more club miles receives an award. Many other members are recognized for their work and accomplishments for the preceding year.

Spring Blitz
Start the spring with a bang. You set your cycling goals for the month and reap the rewards all reason long.

When: The entire Month of March

Party Pardee Century
The Sacramento Bike Hikers annual Century and fund raiser. Volunteering at this event is your chance to help the club and at the same time meet some of your cycling companions in a non-cycling environment. Plus you get a real cool t-shirt.

When: First Saturday in April

Bike to Work Day
Participating in the Bike to Work Day ride shows the community that bicycling is an important part of life in Sacramento. Join scores of riders as they cycle around the Capitol.

When: During May, Bike to Work Week

The Rex Ride - Benefit for the Parkway
An Annual fundraiser that benefit the American River Parkway and Bike Trail. Sponsored by Rex Bicycles.

When: During the month of June

Annual Club Picnic
An informal way to do what cyclists do best, RIDE & EAT! The picnic is another "must do" event.

When: During the month of July

Eppie's Great Race
Help support a Sacramento Classic - Eppie's Great Race. Club members contribute by working the bicycle transition area.

When: During the month of July

Annual Soup Ride
It's a natural and a classic. A cool fall ride with hot soup at the end. Yet another chance to meet and relax with other club members.

Officers Election
This is your chance to help set the club's direction in the coming year. Or even better, run for one of the offices!

It's the Holidays, not much business at this meeting just good company and good food.
